Design Your Future (post-Covid) Workplace with Yodit Stanton, CEO of OpenSensors

Yodit Stanton will be speaking at BoS Conf Spring.Online 26-27 April on the topic: “The Future of Work and the Workplace.”

Well before Covid shuttered so many of our offices, Yodit was building technology enabling entrepreneurs and facilities managers to optimise workplace well-being.

In 2021, as many of us are considering a return to physical and shared workspaces, the big question is: how do we ensure everyone’s safety and wellbeing?

OpenSensors is ideally placed to help answer that question. In her talk, Yodit will explain (with examples) the five key themes that need to be considered.

Aim for 40% humidity

Amongst other things, air humidity is a factor in virus transmission. More specifically, according to OpenSensors, low humidity encourages virus transmission.

But realistically, how many of us know how to begin finding out our office’s humidity levels? Not to mention other air quality metrics, workplace density, and pollution levels.

Luckily OpenSensors have been working on this problem for a few years now already and they’ve racked up a number of case studies from all kinds of organisations using their platform.

Yodit has recently raised $4 million (led by Crane Venture Partners) for her air-monitoring startup and in her talk she will guide us through what the future of workplace is likely to look like.

What you will learn

Yodit will consider what workplaces may look like post-Covid. With examples, she will show key trends and help you reassess your approach to the future workplace by addressing five key themes:

  1. Changing behaviour: from work patterns to rethinking what is meant by ‘control’.
  2. Adaptability: the ability of an organisation to react.
  3. Self-direction: choices around enabling performance; workplaces need to cater to the needs of all, not just the majority.
  4. Security: how to support the physical and mental health of employees.
  5. Technology: does everyone have the necessary tools and skills to enable productivity and collaboration in any setting?
